Horgos Railway Port Handles Over 9,000 CRE (Central Asia) Trains This Year

 

  At 14:00 on December 2, a CRE train loaded with garments and toys, electromechanical products, auto parts and other goods departed from Horgos railway port, bound for Malaszewicze, Poland. This brought the total number of CRE (Central Asia) trains handled via Horgos railway port this year to over 9,000.

  This year, Horgos railway port has continued to leverage its locational advantages, enhance port transport capacity, and achieve simultaneous growth in both the number of CRE trains handled and total cargo throughput. On November 13, port cargo throughput reached 12.26 million tons, completing the annual target 48 days ahead of schedule. On November 23, the number of freight trains handled via the port reached 8,742, surpassing the full-year total for 2024 38 days ahead of schedule. According to available information, the monthly number of freight trains handled by the station has consistently remained above 800 since the beginning of this year.

  As of now, a total of 90 freight train routes operate via Horgos railway port, reaching 18 countries and 46 overseas cities and regions, transporting more than 200 categories of goods.
