Cargo Throughput at Erenhot Port Exceeds 16 Million Tons in the First Ten Months

 

                             

     In the first ten months of this year, cargo throughput at Erenhot port in Inner Mongolia exceeded 16 million tons, reaching 16.542 million tons, up 3.6 percent year-on-year. A total of 1.309 million inbound and outbound transport vehicles were supervised, up 7.9 percent year-on-year, with total import and export cargo value reaching RMB 37.34 billion. A total of 3,279 CRE trains passed through the port, up 14.7 percent year-on-year.

  Erenhot port is the largest land port between China and Mongolia. Connecting outward to Russia and Mongolia and inward to the Huhhot-Baotou-Yinchuan-Yulin economic circle, it undertakes essential trade and freight functions with Mongolia and serves as an important gateway for customs clearance of domestic and international goods.
