First Scheduled China-Central Asia Freight Train Departs from Tianjin

On October 13, accompanied by the long sound of a train whistle, a China-Central Asia freight train loaded with household appliances, auto parts and other goods departed from CR-Tianjin Container Center Station. The train will exit China via Horgos Port and head for Kazakhstan and other destinations.

The train carries 55 forty-foot containers, with a transit time of about 10 days, and will operate regularly at a frequency of one train per week. This marks the first inclusion of a Tianjin-originating China-Central Asia freight train via Horgos Port in the scheduled service network.
