Freight Volume on the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor Trains

Up 70.3% YoY in First Three Quarters

 

  According to CR-Nanning, in the first three quarters of this year, the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor intermodal trains cumulatively transported 1.09 million TEUs of containerized cargo, a YoY increase of 70.3%. On September 4, the annual shipment exceeded 1 million TEUs for the first time.

  "This year marks the fastest growth in shipments since the trains began operating. It took only 247 days to surpass 1 million TEUs, whereas it took more than four years to reach the first million. At the current pace, we expect shipments to exceed 1.3 million TEUs this year, with total volume surpassing 5 million TEUs," said Zhao Jian, deputy director of Qinzhougangdong Railway Station under CR-Nanning Coastal Railway Company.
