The New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor Sees
283-Fold Growth in Freight Volume over Eight Years
On April 28, 2017, the "Yuguixin" test train departed from Qinzhougangdong Railway Station in Guangxi province for Chongqing, marking the start of rail-sea intermodal transport on the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor. The number of containers shipped by the rail-sea intermodal service grew from 3,382 TEUs in 2017 to 960,000 TEUs in 2024, an increase of 283 times over eight years.
