At 14:40 on May 8, the "Panda Special Train" Y477, carrying 277 passengers, departed from Guiyang and headed to Xishuangbanna. Passengers will transfer to the China-Laos International Passenger Train at Xishuangbanna Railway Station, embarking on an 8-day journey to explore cities such as Vientiane, Vang Vieng, and Luang Prabang in Laos and domestically. This marks the first time that CR-Chengdu has operated a cross-border tourist train using a new travel model of "special train + EMU + bus".

"We have delved into the measures for operating cross-border tourist trains to explore optimized supporting service models. This aims to fully meet the diverse demands of the tourism market for individualized, comfortable, convenient, and diversified experiences, providing passengers with increasingly better travel experiences," said a representative from the Southwest Railway Travel Agency of Sichuan Chengdu Railway Business & Travel Group Co., Ltd. of Sichuan Chengdu. The 8-day tour product from Guiyang to Vientiane, featuring "special train + EMU + bus," aims to establish a tourism exchange channel between Guizhou and Southeast Asian countries, serving more passengers to explore exotic customs, experience local cuisine, and feel the charm of history and culture.

The "Panda Special Train" includes carriages such as the "Panda Restaurant" dining car and the "Panda Park" multifunctional entertainment car, with 66 passenger compartments. Each carriage is decorated with a panda theme, offering "Panda Butler" service, highlighting comfort, intelligence, and multifunctionality, creating a "mobile train hotel" integrating transportation, accommodation, and leisure functions. "Stepping into such a themed train surrounded by 'pandas,' the journey will never be boring, and we can also enjoy the thoughtful service of the train staff. My family and I are looking forward to this 8-day cross-border trip," said Wang Wen, a traveler from Guiyang.
