Rail-Sea Intermodal Freight Trains on the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor Sent 110,000 TEUs of Goods Since the Beginning of 2024

      On February 21, the X9586 rail-sea intermodal freight train of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, loaded with cassava starch from Thailand, coconut milk, and rapeseed oil from Hainan, departed from Qinzhougangdong Railway Station, bound for Chengxiang Railway Station in Chengdu. As of February 20, the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor’s rail-sea intermodal freight trains have sent out 113,500 TEUs of goods since the beginning of the year, marking a 13.8% year-on-year increase.

  The Spring Festival travel rush in 2024 marks the first one after the smooth transition of epidemic prevention and control, with the economy continuously improving. The train volume has seen a significant increase in routes such as Chongqing-Guangxi, Sichuan-Guangxi, Yunnan-Guangxi, and Guizhou-Guangxi. The rail-sea intermodal freight trains amount also increased on the Western Land-Sea New Corridor within the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region since the beginning of the year, with growth rates of 117.1% and 132.7% respectively for the Chongqing-Guangxi High Speed Railway and the routes within Guangxi.
