The Erenhot port, the sole railway port of entry and exit on the China-Europe Railway Express (CRE) Central Corridor, has in recent years adopted a priority operation mechanism for CRE trains, ensuring priority in arrival, shunting, gauge changing and the return of empty wagons after unloading, thereby improving customs clearance and transport efficiency.
