CRE Train Logistics Service Network Now Covers Almost the Entire Eurasian Continent

 

  The CRE Train Development Report (2025) was released on November 18. According to the report, as of October 2025, a total of 118,600 CRE trains had been dispatched, transporting 11.7 million TEUs, with the logistics service network now covering nearly the entire Eurasian continent.

  Since 2013, the number of CRE trains has grown at an average annual rate of 65 percent. As of the end of October 2025, a total of 128 Chinese cities had launched CRE train services, reaching 232 cities in 26 European countries and more than 100 cities in 11 Asian countries. The range of transported goods has expanded to 53 categories and more than 50,000 types, with automobiles and auto parts, machinery and equipment, and electronic appliances becoming major high-value export goods shipped from China via the train network, accounting for more than 60 percent in 2024. Goods shipped from Europe to China via CRE trains include electromechanical products, precious metals, medical devices, food, wine and other items, bringing an increasing number of European specialty products into the Chinese market. As of the end of 2024, the cumulative value of goods transported via the CRE train network had reached USD 426.4 billion.
