Over 20,000 CRE Trains Operated via Central Corridor

On August 3, a CRE train carrying 55 containers departed via the Erenhot railway port, marking the cumulative operation of over 20,000 trains through the central corridor since the first CRE train passed in 2013.

Erenhot railway port is a key port on the central corridor of the CRE train route. In recent years, with the continuous deepening of China's international economic and trade cooperation, the number, directions and frequency of trains here have significantly increased. The transported goods have shifted from metals, chemicals and garments in the early days to high value-added products such as new energy vehicles, electronic goods, and household appliances. In 2022, the cumulative volume through the central corridor surpassed 10,000 trains; the second 10,000 milestone was reached in just three years.

At present, the central corridor operates 73 routes, reaching over 70 hub stations in more than 10 countries including Germany and Poland, covering over 60 cities in 24 provinces (regions and municipalities) across China.
