On March 14 at 11:00, a CRE train loaded with 55 containers weighing 1,300 tons departed from the Harbin International Container Center Station, bound for Tilburg, the Netherlands. This marks the successful opening of Heilongjiang's first CRE train route to the Netherlands.

According to sources, this CRE train departed via the Manzhouli Railway Port and is expected to arrive in Tilburg, the Netherlands, in 15 days, covering a total distance of 10,257 kilometers. "Recently, we have established a storage platform in the Netherlands. Compared to sea transport, the CRE train saves two-thirds of the transportation time and shortens the distance by half, which is beneficial for our company to further expand into the European market," said the person in charge of the shipping company, Heilongjiang Eppen Biotech Co., Ltd.

CR-Harbin fully leverages the advantages of the CRE train's eastern route and the role of the railway cross-border logistics channel, solidly promoting the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road" Initiative (BRI), and helping China achieve rapid growth in trade and investment with countries along the route. In the first two months of this year, the number of CRE trains and the volume of goods sent from Heilongjiang increased by 161.5% and 151.6% year-on-year, respectively. The number of outbound trains increased by 266.7% year-on-year, showing a significant growth trend in exports. The CRE trains passed through the Manzhouli, Suifenhe, and Tongjiang railway ports, with a total of 921 trains transporting 96,000 TEUs, representing a year-on-year increase of 3.6% and 3.4%, respectively.
