Bilateral Passage of CRE Trains Achieved at Tongjiang Railway Port

On October 26, the first return journey of the CRE train successfully departed from Tongjiangbei Railway Station to Changshabei Railway Station. This marks the opening of the first CRE train return route from Tongjiang Railway Port, achieving bilateral passage of CRE trains at this port, following the initiation of outbound CRE train services.

Tongjiang Railway Port is a vital gateway for China’s border opening, located in the northeastern part of Heilongjiang Province, and it is classified as a first-class national-level port. In July 2023, the first outbound CRE train was launched from this port, primarily sending products from regions such as Changsha, Shenyang, Changchun, Harbin, and their surrounding areas. The service connects to several European countries and handles various cargo, including automotive components and food items. Over the past three months, it has maintained stable operations.

CR-Harbin promoted the international railway container transportation business of the CRE trains at Tongjiang Railway Port. They increased the port’s transportation capacity, and created favorable conditions for train scheduling by prioritizing train plans, optimizing station production layouts, monitoring the loading and unloading processes, and concentrating resources in the direction of transport. They also enhanced coordination with customs, border inspection, and other relevant departments, employing the 95306 Digital Port system to improve customs clearance efficiency and streamline processes. Additionally, they are systematically advancing the improvement project of the Jiamusi-Tongjiang Railway to strengthen the network for CRE train services.
