Efficient Operations Supported by “Smart” Stations

Recently, a train consisting of 55 cars loaded with 1,130 tons of cargo departed from Shenyang, Liaoning province, heading to the Manzhouli Port, ultimately destined for cities in Russia such as Moscow and St. Petersburg. Its departure marked the 254th CRE train (Shenyang) service to depart since it began operation in March this year.

To ensure the high-quality operation of the CRE train, the Shenyang hub has developed a smart station management system. This system further enhances various services related to container consolidation, on-site loading and unloading, customs supervision, customs declaration and clearance, achieving integration between railways and customs, intelligent operation supervision, paperless document flow and diverse functional design. Additionally, the Shenyang hub has implemented unmanned intelligent checkpoints, equipped with functions for automatic container assignment, automatic dispatching and three-dimensional visualization, significantly improving operational efficiency.

The implementation of “one-stop handling” and “one-stop customs clearance” has improved logistics efficiency and reduced costs. As of now, the Shenyang hub handles all CRE train departures from the city, with terminals set up in more than 10 overseas locations, including Moscow and the German cities of Hamburg and Duisburg, sending goods to more than 50 cities in over 20 countries.
