Zhengzhoubei Railway Station is located at the intersection of two main railway lines, the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and Lanzhou-Lianyungang Railway. It plays a vital role in handling the arrival, disassembly, marshaling, and departure of freight trains from four directions along these two major rail lines. Additionally, it is responsible for the dispatch and command tasks of the CRE Train (Zhengzhou).
During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day Holidays, Nie Peizhe, the duty stationmaster of the third shift at Zhengzhoubei Railway Station’s dispatching workshop, and his colleagues were still in position, organizing and marshaling trains, and overseeing transportation operations. Nie Peizhe mentioned, “The CRE train has stricter requirements for carriages, such as fixed train sets and specific routes. Since the inaugural run of Zhengzhou’s first CRE train on July 18, 2013, Zhengzhoubei Railway Station’s marshaling station has been responsible for assembling and preparing train carriages, ensuring zero errors in every aspect, and guaranteeing the timely and safe departure of the CRE train.”
Currently, Zhengzhoubei Railway Station assembles hundreds of empty train carriages every day, providing ample options for the allocation of carriages for the CRE trains, and ensuring timely loading and safe departures.
