CRE Trains in Xi’an achieves 20,000 Runs

Train X8489 of CRE Trains transported 165 automobiles from Xi’anguojigang Railway Station, to Moscow, Russia. This marks the 20,000th run of CRE Trains in Xi’an since its inaugural run in 2013, accounting for approximately one-fourth of the total runs of CRE Trains nationwide.

To aid the construction of the CRE Trains marshaling center in Xi’an, CR-Xi’an has conducted three rounds of capacity-expanding upgrades at Xi’anguojigang Railway Station. The upgrades increased the number of lines capable of loading and unloading cargo to 29, with 12 of these cargo lines directly facilitating train departures. Following the capacity expansion, Xi’anguojigang Railway Station’s cargo handling capacity increased by 30%. The station now boasts a layout with interconnected ring-shaped lines.

Xi’anguojigang Railway Station has become the station with the most CRE Train runs in the country. The Xi’an branch has earned its reputation as a premium train service, known for its fast operation, high level of automation, extensive coverage, comprehensive services, and low overall costs. It provides robust transportation support for the development of Shaanxi as an inland hub for reform and opening up, contributing to the progress of the Belt and Road Initiative.
