CRE Train (Xi’an) Breaks 20,000 Trips Milestone

With the long sound of a horn, CRE train X8489, loaded with 165 vehicles, departed slowly from the Xi’anguojigang Railway Station, heading towards Moscow, Russia. This marks a significant milestone as the CRE train (Xi’an) has now surpassed 20,000 trips, with leading figures in key indicators such as the number of trips, freight volume, and container load rates nationwide.

Throughout this year, CRE train (Xi’an) has seen a continuous rise in the number of trips, particularly for dedicated export trains carrying automobiles. To meet the transportation demands for automotive exports, CR-Xi’an has strengthened communication and coordination with local governments and foreign trade enterprises. They have continuously optimized resource allocation and introduced dedicated train services for automobile exports, creating a platform for international transportation cooperation in the automotive industry. As of September 28th, CRE train (Xi’an) has accumulated 133 trips for dedicated automotive export trains, facilitating the export of over 10,000 automobiles and opening a new pathway for domestic automakers to engage in international trade and expand into international markets.

As a destination for CRE train (Xi’an), the Xi’anguojigang Railway Station has flexibly arranged its route utilization. It has accurately tracked the loading and unloading schedules to minimize track occupancy, reduce delays in unloading cars, and managed the positioning of empty cars to enhance operational efficiency. They have proactively coordinated with customers to promptly obtain information about cargo quantities and arrival details, making preparations for vehicles, routes, and personnel. By scientifically devising operational plans and strictly implementing a “one-line, one-plan” approach, they have dynamically adjusted the functionality of cargo lines, vehicle ingress, and egress at the origin and destination stations to maximize the efficiency of operation areas and equipment.

CR-Xi’an has also carried out capacity expansions and improvements for CRE Train (Xi’an) Consolidation Centre, increasing the number of cargo handling lines to 29. They have created a circular line layout, to acheive the direct loading and unloading of trains. Furthermore, they have accelerated the deployment of information technology, optimizing the layout, functions, and personnel of production and dispatch command center positions. They have vigorously promoted the “Freight Production Operation and Control Platform,” facilitating data sharing and enhancing the efficiency of CRE train transportation. At present, the CRE train (Xi’an) has opened 17 international transportation routes, achieving comprehensive coverage of major source regions in Europe and Asia.
