At 12:58 on April 13, a CRE train loaded with dining chairs, towels, valves, portable air conditioners and other goods departed from Manzhouli Station and headed for Malaszewicze, Poland. So far, the number of CRE trains that crossed the Chinese Border via Manzhouli Station has exceeded 10,000.

As the largest land port station in China, Manzhouli Station plays an important role in serving the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and deepening the trade cooperation between China and Russia. The station has cooperated closely with Harbin Branch of China Railway Container Transport Co., Ltd., actively optimized the transportation organization, and actively communicated with customs, border inspection, freight forwarding companies and other units to dynamically monitor the market demand. It has opened up green channels and provided 24-hour business handling services for CRE trains, thus minimizing the dwelling time of CRE trains.

In recent years, the number of CRE trains that crossed the Chinese Border via Manzhouli Station have shown a continuous and rapid growth. Compared with the initial operation period, Manzhouli Station now sees more than 300 CRE trains each month, an increase of 12 times. "It takes more than 6 years for the number to grow from 1 to 5000, while it takes only 1 year and a half to grow from 5001 to 10,000. Especially last year, the number of CRE trains that crossed the Chinese Border via Manzhouli Station exceeded the total from the year 2013 to 2018.” said Liu Hongliang, Deputy Director of Manzhouli Station.
