China's First Dedicated Train Carrying Anti-epidemic Supplies Aiding France Enters Europe

  On June 10, China's first dedicated train carrying anti-epidemic supplies aiding France, originated from Jiangxi, entered Europe. It will arrive in Paris, France within the next two weeks.

  This dedicated train was originated from Henggang Station of International Land Port of Nanchang (Xiangtang) on June 4, carrying a total of 20 million masks, 45 million pairs of gloves, 1.3 million water-soluble bags, touch-free disinfectant machines and other products, totaling EUR 10 million. The train will travel nearly 14,000 km across 7 countries and regions within 3 weeks, with a cost of about 30 times less than air transportation and transportation time 10 days less than sea transportation.

  To make sure the safe transportation and on-time arrival of this train, the railway sector strengthened coordination and cooperation. It worked closely with customs and other authorities and related enterprises to set up a green channel for this train, carefully organized the cargo supplies, container sources, vehicle resources and labor, optimized the operation process, the handling efficiency, and provided "one-stop" customized services. It also strengthened the whole-process transportation organization, simplified the handover formalities at ports, and closely coordinated and worked with the railways in countries along the route.
