New High Cold-Resistance Intelligent Fuxing EMU Trains Allocated


    "High speed trains from Harbin to destinations such as Xiangyang, Hangzhou, and Nanjing are now all equipped with the newly allocated high cold-resistance Intelligent Fuxing EMU trains." On March 7, after the open group meeting of the Heilongjiang delegation to the National People's Congress (NPC), Xing Yuntang, an NPC deputy and a driver of CR-Harbin, told Science and Technology Daily that temperatures as low as minus thirty to forty degrees Celsius are common in Heilongjiang. The high cold-resistance intelligent EMU trains operated have all undergone rigorous cold-resistance tests, demonstrating excellent anti-freezing performance, stable operation, and comfort. In the past winter season, passenger traffic has doubled compared to the previous year.

  As a driver of the EMU trains, Xing Yuntang has firsthand experience and expertise in operating the new high cold-resistance intelligent EMU trains. "During snowy or frosty weather, drivers pay attention to their driving techniques," Xing said, adding that when driving the trains, the drivers pay particular attention to fluctuations in the voltage between the pantograph and the overhead wire. They use their experience to judge whether the conditions for the current collection by the pantograph or overhead wire are normal. The intelligent EMU trains provide auxiliary warnings and prompts based on operating conditions to help drivers assess the icing conditions of the overhead wires.

  "The newly allocated model is the CR400BF, which has stronger power and more stable performance during driving. The control panel of this model has been redesigned to be more user-friendly, and the driver's seat is more comfortable after modification," Xing Yuntang said, adding that the CR400BF model is designed for a speed of 400 kilometers per hour, but currently operates at a speed of 300 kilometers per hour. In the future, with all conditions met, it will be capable of operating at a speed of 400 kilometers per hour.
