First Station Renovation Project on North-South Extension Line
of Weng'an-Machangping Railway Successfully Completed

On March 30, as the final set of interlocking data verification was approved, the interlocking and signal equipment replacement construction for the renovation of Lvyinhu Railway Station in Duyun city—the first station renovation project on the north-south extension line of the Weng'an-Machangping Railway—was successfully completed. This marks the smooth completion of the "Four Electrics" systems renovation project at Lvyinhu Railway Station, establishing a solid foundation for subsequent integrated testing and commissioning and the scheduled opening of the south extension line of the Weng'an-Machangping Railway.
The Weng'an-Machangping Railway is the first self-built and self-operated local resource-oriented railway in Guizhou province, as well as an important component of the central corridor of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor. The line starts from Lvyinhu Railway Station on the Guizhou-Guangxi Railway in Duyun in the south and extends north to Gelaoba Railway Station on the Sichuan-Guizhou Railway in Zunyi. It connects three national trunk railways—the Sichuan-Guizhou Railway, the Shanghai-Kunming Railway and the Guizhou-Guangxi Railway—and undertakes the critical task of transporting bulk commodities such as phosphate, aluminum and coal along the route. The railway holds significant importance for promoting regional resource development, industrial upgrading and high-quality economic growth.
