All 500m Rails Are Welded on Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway

On January 17, all 500m rails finished welding on Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway, thus laying a solid foundation for completing the task of rail laying for the high speed railway, which connects Indonesian capital city Jakarta and the famous tourism destination Bandung. As the iconic project in the Belt & Road Initiative that embodies pragmatic cooperation between Indonesia and China, it is also the first overseas project of China Railway built in a comprehensive approach. Upon completion, the project will help shorten travel time between Jakarta and Bandung from over three hours to 40 minutes, thus greatly upgrading transport and stimulating economic and social development along the railway.
