On May 9, a CRE train loaded with 50 containers of electronic products and mechanical parts departed from Erenhot Port Station of CR Hohhot, bounding for Vorsino Station in Russia. This was the 1000th CRE train passing through Erenhot Port Station this year.
In order to better support the safe and efficient operation of CRE trains, CR Hohhot made overall planning on the allocation of transport resources for the station since the beginning of this year, and optimized the transport organization of CRE trains. In addition to giving full play to the loading and unloading tracks, CR Hohhot took a series of measures, such as opening a new container transloading yard, optimizing the operation process integrating transloading and frontier inspection, and ensuring adequate manpower as well as machines and tools, so as to boost the transloading efficiency. Meanwhile, CR Hohhot also strengthened communication and liaison with other CR local groups, customs, frontier inspection and authorities to further shorten the inspection and release time for inbound and outbound CRE trains, effectively improving operational performance.
Under the new normal of epidemic prevention and control, Erenhot Port Station adhered to the anti-epidemic measures targeting people, objects, environment and facilities simultaneously, and took measures to ensure nucleic acid tests and disinfection of goods carried by the CRE trains. Erenhot Port Station also optimized the work shifts, and took protective measures for the personnel in high-risk positions who had direct contact with inbound trains, cargos and environmental exposures, and strictly implemented the closed-loop management of N+14+7 mode, providing a solid guarantee for the safe and efficient operation of CRE trains.
So far this year, a total of 1006 CRE trains carrying 106,000 TEUs had passed through Erenhot Port Station, with a year-on-year growth of 18.2% and 20.1% respectively.
