At 15:00 on May 11, No. 45667 train loaded with bottled mineral water and other living supplies departed from the new freight yard of Tongren East Logistics Park of CR Guangzhou. This first freight train departing from the park marks the official operation of Tongren East Logistics Park of Changsha International Port.
Tongren East Logistics Park is located in Dengta subdistrict, Bijiang district, Tongren, Guizhou province, with unique location advantages. Covering an area of 480 mu (about 32 hectares), this logistics park has 5 freight tracks and 5 loading and unloading functional areas, namely the container yard operation area, bulk cargos operation area, heavy and bulky cargos operation area, wet-proof cargos area and moisture-sensitive cargos area, to handle the transport of all kinds of goods except dangerous ones.
It is estimated that Tongren East Logistics Park is the largest current railway logistics park in eastern Guizhou, with a total annual transport capacity up to 4.75 million tons in the short term and up to 10 million tons in the long term. The logistics park greatly facilitates the transport of local building materials, such as gravel and cement clinker, and food and beverage products, and further improves the railway freight transport capacity of Tongren.
Serving as an important node of New Western Land-Sea Corridor, Tongren East Logistics Park is an important transport hub project for building a modern logistics system in Tongren city, and plays an important part in building a major pattern of modern logistics, creating a good business environment and boosting the high-quality regional social and economic development.
