Northernmost Alpine High Speed Railway Enters Track-laying Stage

At 10:00 on June 15, machines roared at the construction site of Mudanjiang-Jiamusi HSR in Linkou County, Heilongjiang Province. With the track-laying machine placing sleepers one by one, the first 500 m long rail was laid in place in only 78 minutes, which marks that the Mudanjiang-Jiamusi HSR has entered the track-laying stage.
Mudanjiang-Jiamusi HSR, which was commenced in November 2016, is an important railway construction project under China's Medium-and Long-Term Railway Network Plan and China's 13th Five-Year Plan. The railway starts in Mudanjiang City, passes through Linkou, Jixi, Qitaihe, Huanan and Shuangyashan, and ends in Jiamusi City, with a mainline of 371.6 km and a design speed of 250 km/h.
