Henan Section of Zhengzhou-Wanzhou High Speed Railway Started ICT

  On August 13, integrated commissioning and test (ICT) was officially commenced on the Zhengzhou East-Dengzhou East Section of the Zhengzhou-Wanzhou High Speed Railway. Track inspection simultaneously carried out by the comprehensive inspection train and inspection confirmation train marks the countdown to the opening and operation of the Henan Section of this railway.

  The Zhengzhou-Wanzhou High Speed Railway is a double-track high speed railway with a mainline design speed of 350km/h. It is connected with the Beijing-Guangzhou High Speed Railway and the Xuzhou-Lanzhou High Speed Railway in the north, intersects with the main lines and branch lines in the railway network such as Lanzhou-Lianyungang Railway, Dengfeng-Qixian Railway, Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Yuzhou-Bozhou Railway, Yuzhou-Pingdingshan Railway, Mengmiao-Pingdingshan Railway, Nanjing-Xi'an Railway and Hankou-Danjiangkou Railway. The southern end locates at Wanzhou and is connected with Chongqing through the Chongqing-Wanzhou High Speed Railway. The main line of the Henan Section of Zhengzhou-Wanzhou Railway is 350.8km long, having 10 stations including Zhengzhou East (existing station), Zhengzhou South, Changge North, Yuzhou, Jiaxian, Pingdingshan West, Guaihebei (overtaking station), Fangcheng, Nanyang East and Dengzhou East.

  The opening of Zhengzhou-Wanzhou High Speed Railway is of great significance in improving layout of the national railway network, enhancing Henan's competitiveness and underlining Zhengzhou's role as a comprehensive transportation hub nationwide.
