Xinjiang Railways Realize Full Coverage of E-tickets

  From June 20, all conventional speed railway stations and conventional speed passenger trains with passenger transport service in Xinjiang began to officially accept e-tickets, which marks full coverage of E-tickets across railways in Xinjiang. Passage only with ID cards under the E-tickets mode will benefit passengers and further improve their travel experiences.

  It is reported that the conventional speed railways have registered two-thirds of the annual passenger ridership in Xinjiang. A total of 46 conventional speed railway stations in Xinjiang now accept e-tickets, together with 7 HSR stations that have already accepted e-tickets, making the total number of e-ticket acceptable stations in Xinjiang reach 53.

  In order to ensure the smooth application of e-ticket on conventional speed railways, China Railway Urumqi Group Co., Ltd. has attached great importance to and carefully prepared for quickly upgrading the technical equipment on these railways. It purchased 183 ticket checking gates, 89 column-type ticket checking gates, 2,569 hand-held terminals, 136 window and ticket vending machine receipt printers, adjusted and installed 60 ticket checking gates, to ensure that all passenger stations under its administration are equipped with face recognition ticket checking gates.
