Huge Increase in CHINA RAILWAY Express Trains to/from Wuhan

  At 5:32 on June 12, a CRE train consisting of 50 wagons with over 700 tons of electronic components, communication products and epidemic prevention supplies, departed from Wujiashan Station of Hanxi Depot of China Railway Wuhan Group Co., Ltd., heading for Duisburg, Germany.

  It is the 6th CRE train departing from Wujiashan Station in June and also the 70th this year. In 2021, the total number of CRE trains to/from Wuhan escalates, which facilitates to open up new corridors and explore new modes of transport. On May 27, the X8015 train departed from Wujiashan Station on schedule and headed for Europe, marking the departure of the first CRE train (Wuhan) for the products from the cross-border e-commerce export warehouses in Hubei Province, i.e. the cross-border e-commerce "9810" mode. On May 29, a test train of rail-water combined transport of Yangluo Port–Wujiashan-Duisburg departed from the station, which initially realized the seamless connection between the CRE trains (Wuhan) and the Yangtze River known as the golden waterway and accelerated the construction of the rail-water combined transport pattern in Wuhan. According to the statistical data, as of June 12, the total number of CRE trains to/from Wuhan surged by more than 55% compared with the same period in 2020.
