Wuhan Launches CHINA RAILWAY Express Service to Kiev, Ukraine

At 12:00 on June 16, with the horn blowing, a CRE train, which was loaded with chemical raw materials, agricultural machinery and equipment and other products produced by enterprises in Wuhan and other Hubei regions, departed from Wujiashan Station of Hanxi Train Operation Depot of China Railway Wuhan Group Co., Ltd. The CRE train is planned to cross the Chinese border via Erenhot Port, run across Mongolia, Russia and other countries, and finally arrive in Kiev, capital of Ukraine, in 15 days with a total distance of 8,000 km. This is the first CRE train launched from Wuhan to Kiev, Ukraine.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Wuhan and Kiev becoming sister cities. The CRE train launched successfully at this moment will further shorten the travel time between Wuhan and Kiev and give CRE train (Wuhan) a better coverage in Eastern Europe.
Wujiashan Station is the only originating and terminal station for CRE trains (Wuhan). This train marks the 43th CRE train originating from Wujiashan Station this year and 787th CRE train dispatched since the first CRE train (Wuhan) was launched on October 24, 2012.
