CHINA RAILWAY Express Takes Medical Cotton Yarn to Aid Europe

At 00:02 on March 21, the No. 45502 freight train slowly left Yichang East Station. The CRE train, consisting of six 40-foot-container cars fully loaded with medical cotton yarn, was assembled at Wujiashan Station in Wuhan and bound for Hamburg, Germany. This is the first time that "Yichang-made" anti-epidemic products have been exported to foreign countries after China gains the first phase victory in the battle against the epidemic.
Yichang Aomei Medical is a key manufacturer of epidemic prevention and control products in Hubei Province. It can provide more than 1.6 million N95 medical protective masks and surgical masks to the market every day. Recently, the company faces an urgent need to export its products to Europe.
To fully support the export of enterprises and help Europe with its anti-epidemic efforts, China Railway Wuhan Group Co., Ltd. has attached great importance to the transportation of this batch of anti-epidemic products and has provided the company with efficient transportation service at a low price. It has taken the initiative to sign a “fixed price" transportation agreement with the company and lowered the transportation and loading/unloading charges on a item-by-item basis, so as to minimize the company's logistics costs.
After the train arrives in Hamburg, Germany, these products will be shipped to other European countries in accordance with the contract.
